The core aim of the report is to review the existing tools of the European Union for the prevention of mass atrocities and make recommendations to optimize timely and adequate responses to emerging threats of mass atrocities.


The 70-page report “The EU and the Prevention of Mass Atrocities – An Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses” was released on the 6th of March 2013 in Brussels at the presence of EU and Member States officials and policy-makers.
